Why Drive 30 Minutes to Slope Space?
Woodstock is stunning. Here's what the mountain adds to your workday.

Ski at Lunch
Killington's lifts are 5 minutes from our door. Take a few runs at lunch, soak in the hot tub after, and finish your workday refreshed. From Woodstock, that same ski break would be a 60-minute round trip just in drive time.

Gigabit Fiber
VTel's 1 Gbps business fiber — tested at 730 Mbps down, 820 Mbps up. Woodstock's village internet is fine for browsing, but if you need serious bandwidth for uploads, video calls, or cloud work, this is another league.

Resort Amenities
Your membership includes gym, indoor heated pool, hot tub, outdoor pool, locker rooms, and laundry. No extra fees. That's a gym membership, pool pass, and coworking space in one.
Why Woodstock Is a Great Home Base
One of Vermont's most desirable places to live — and a perfect match for Slope Space
Woodstock consistently ranks among the most beautiful small towns in America. Its walkable village, covered bridges, and year-round cultural scene make it an ideal home for remote workers who want quality of life. The one thing it lacks? A dedicated coworking space with serious infrastructure.
Village Life
Woodstock's village green is the heart of a walkable downtown with independent shops, galleries, the Woodstock Inn, and restaurants like The Prince & The Pauper and Worthy Kitchen. It's the kind of place where you actually know your neighbors.
Outdoor Access
Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park is right in town with miles of trails. Suicide Six ski area is 10 minutes away. The Ottauquechee River runs through the village. Woodstock gives you nature without sacrificing convenience.
Creative Community
Woodstock punches well above its weight culturally. The town draws artists, writers, entrepreneurs, and remote professionals who want a thoughtful, engaged community. Billings Farm & Museum, ArtisTree, and a thriving farmers market keep the calendar full.
Upper Valley Connection
Woodstock is the gateway to the Upper Valley — Dartmouth College and DHMC in Hanover/Lebanon are 30 minutes east. Many remote workers have partners in healthcare or education who commute east while they head west to Slope Space.
Coworking in Woodstock
Woodstock has coworking options — here's how Slope Space compares
Woodstock has a couple of solid coworking options. The Exchange offers flexible workspace right in downtown Woodstock, and The Schoolhouse at Lincoln Corners provides a quieter setting just outside the village. Both are great spaces for the Woodstock community.
Slope Space is a different kind of workspace. Located at the base of Killington Resort, 30 minutes west on Route 4, it's built for people who want to combine focused work with mountain lifestyle — skiing at lunch, gym and pool included in every membership, and 1 Gbps fiber that handles any workload. If you're already set up in Woodstock, Slope Space makes a great complement for days when you want to mix work with the mountain.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions from Woodstock-area remote workers
Is there any coworking space in Woodstock itself?
Not currently. Woodstock doesn't have a dedicated coworking space. Some remote workers use coffee shops like Mon Vert Cafe or the Norman Williams Public Library, but neither offers the infrastructure, privacy, or amenities of a purpose-built workspace. Slope Space is the closest dedicated coworking option, just 30 minutes west.
What's the drive like from Woodstock to Killington?
Route 4 between Woodstock and Killington is a scenic two-lane highway through the Green Mountains. It passes through Bridgewater Corners — you'll go right by Long Trail Brewing Company. In winter, the road is well-maintained and regularly plowed. It's one of Vermont's main east-west corridors, so it gets priority treatment.
I moved to Woodstock for the quiet life. Won't commuting defeat the purpose?
Thirty minutes through the Green Mountains isn't exactly a stressful commute. No traffic lights after you leave Woodstock, no highway driving — just a beautiful mountain road. Many members say the drive is actually a nice transition between "home mode" and "work mode." And you can choose your days — come to Slope Space 2-3 times a week and work from home the rest.
Can I use Slope Space just a few days a week?
Absolutely. Most of our Woodstock-area members do exactly that — 2-3 days at Slope Space for focused work and meetings, home the other days. Hot Desks are $7/hr with no commitment, day passes are $30, and weekly passes are $150. Monthly unlimited starts at $179 if you're coming regularly.
Do I need a ski pass to use Slope Space?
Not at all. Slope Space is a coworking space first. Plenty of members never ski — they're here for the internet, the gym, the pool, and the focused environment. Skiing is a bonus, not a requirement.
What about the Upper Valley — is Slope Space reasonable from Quechee or White River Junction?
Quechee is about 40 minutes, White River Junction about 50 minutes. It's a longer drive, but some Upper Valley folks come a couple days a week and make a day of it — especially in ski season when the drive to Killington is worth the mountain access. From Bridgewater (between Woodstock and Killington), it's only 15 minutes.
